Global HS Classification Specialist
- Addressing day to day Customs & Trade issues and providing customs and trade advice and support globally.
- Ensure harmonized HS Code classification for products globally across Sonova business units, taking into consideration relevant international laws, regulations and policies.
- Ensure that revisions/updates of HS Codes are closely monitored and being implemented.
- Develop detailed knowledge of Sonova’s product portfolio to ensure adequate identification and classification of products.
- Initiate and manage binding tariff information globally.
- Support the operation and maintenance of customs-/ trade compliance-relevant software.
- Answer customs requests and provide required documents when required.
- Manage HS Code disputes.
- Support operational challenges regarding HS-classifications and other customs and trade related questions.
- Min. 3 years of experience in customs, import/export, or trade compliance.
- Knowledge of HS code classification and international trade regulations.
- Familiarity with tariff binding procedures and international trade agreements.
- Degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with SAP (specifically SAP TM and GTS).
- Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, high-workload global environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in MS Office (including advanced Excel skills).
- Fluent English and exceptional communication skills for cross-functional and global collaboration.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools for reporting and data analysis.
- Experience with JD Edwards.
- Experience in the medical device/ regulated industry.
- Additional languages beyond English, ideally German.
