Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)
The role
The STP Tribe is looking for an Epic Delivery Owner (EDO) who, in the context on the tribe capabilities evolution, will drive one big epic or multiple small epics/projects.
The role requires a mix of team leadership skills, knowledge of industry and standard project management methodology. A sound understanding of the business strategy, the technical challenges and dependencies versus other initiatives will be a key success factor.
This is an opportunity to be in the driving seat of the modernization of our current IT Communication platform, playing a key role in driving the enhancement and the implementation of solutions applying new technologies and highest security and availability standards to deliver customer-focused service enhancements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead one or multiple Epics/Projects of low and medium complexity involving teams across different locations, divisions & entities, including third-party suppliers, and multiple disciplines in the IT function
- Thanks to a clear understanding of the solutions, their impact and dependencies to the general ecosystem and other initiatives in the roadmap, proactively identify risks, define, drive and track the required actions to mitigate them or resolve issues, demonstrating both business and technical partners to ensure that the projects goals and requirements are met
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and forecasts, including resource allocation, costs, and dependencies, ensuring that the team’s overall resources are used effectively to meet the projects objectives and deadlines, supervising progress and adherence with the baselined plan
- Handle change control processes. Where required, challenge and negotiate changes in project specifications or scope with the project business and IT partners, using the support of business or technical domain experts
- Regularly report progress at all levels of the organization, including senior management, partners and sponsor/business collaborators.
- Ensure Epics/projects adhere to Euroclear’s internal standards and methodologies.
- Lead improvement initiatives and acting as the primary connection between project sponsors/clients and IT services.
Skills and competencies
- Solid project management skills, knowledge of both the Euroclear business and its technical environment is an asset.
- Ability to quickly grasp impacts and dependencies when discussing with both business and technical stakeholders and collaborators and to keep an eye on the bigger picture, to dive into the details only where required
- Demonstrated communication skills across all levels of the organization and capacity to quickly grasp, summarize and simply present complex information
- Effective negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills, assertiveness and ability to lead challenging internal and external collaborators
- Able to operate with limited support of his/her management line, organized and focus, able to remain positive in the face of challenge or under pressure
- At ease in a fast-changing environment, flexible and able to swiftly reprioritize tasks, a practical leader capable of handling various subjects simultaneously
- Proven experience in leading multi squads/locations projects including outsourcing partners, is preferred. Experience in Financial sector and/or in the Communication domain is an asset, as are Prince2, PMI or similar IT delivery framework certifications.
