Position Summary
- This position is responsible for leading and optimizing purchasing and procurement processes within a shared services environment that supports multiple manufacturing plants across EMEA. This role requires experience in purchasing and procurement, developing and implementing strategies, and a passion to work with people to drive performance.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve operational and financial objectives while building capabilities to support future growth.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategy for purchasing processes and systems, maximizing use of automation and AI, to improve operational and financial performance.
- Manage overall budget for procurement team in Poland.
- Partner with procurement leadership and actively participate on regular reviews at VP level.
- Develop and execute strategies that attract, develop and retain talent, and foster a strong culture of belonging and connection to supported organizations and functions.
- Assess and implement organizational structures that support development and build a strong foundation for growth.
Qualifications & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Mgt, Engineering, or related field), MBA or Masters in related field preferred)
- 7+ years of experience as a successful Procurement/Business professional with 5+ years as a successful people leader preferably in the Medical Device sector.
- APICS accredited or professional supply chain accreditation preferred
- Demonstrated track record in driving operational performance via strong, leadership and change management skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication, collaborative teamwork, and conflict management skills. Strong ability to influence at multiple layers in the organization
- Ability to distill strategic objectives into a concrete plan for execution, build consensus behind shared goals, challenge the status quo, initiate tough conversations and promote a culture of innovation.
- Demonstrated versatility and a willingness to manage, mentor, and lead a team through change and ambiguity.
- Experience with SAP & Oracle and related systems used for Procurement.
- Experience with Lean methodology at both strategy and execution levels.
- Experience leading teams in a shared service center preferred
