A Day in the Life
The Service Sales Specialist drives revenue growth by understanding client needs, promoting service contracts and service-focused products, and building lasting customer relationships. This role combines strategic sales expertise, lead generation, and technical knowledge to deliver tailored solutions that optimize customers’ product performance and lifecycle. Key responsibilities include developing sales strategies, conducting presentations, negotiating contracts, achieving sales targets, and providing post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction and retention. The specialist collaborates with internal teams to align service offerings with business objectives and market trends.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize revenue and exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients to ensure consistent sales growth
- Actively promote and sell service-focused products, such as service contracts and upgrades, to enhance product performance and extend lifecycle value
- Identify and pursue opportunities to increase sales within the existing customer base through upselling
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that clearly demonstrate service features, benefits, and overall value propositions
- Maintain accurate sales records, track key performance metrics, and provide regular reports on progress against targets
- Use customer relationship management systems to effectively manage sales activities, customer information, and pipeline tracking while working closely with sales leadership to align service offerings with business goals and customer expectations.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, lead generation, and closing deals, preferably within service contracts or service-focused products
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions, presentations, and negotiations
- Proficiency in customer relationship management systems for managing sales activities and client information, along with familiarity with sales analytics tools and reporting platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of service contract management processes and product lifecycle.
