A Day in the Life
The Senior Marketing Specialist for Surgical Robotics and Lung Health drives strategic marketing initiatives for Medtronic’s innovative robotics platforms and respiratory therapies in Central and Eastern Europe . This role demands expertise in product launches, cross-functional collaboration, and market analysis to accelerate adoption in dynamic healthcare markets. The position typically requires 5 years of medical device sales or marketing experience, fluency in English and local languages, and a blend of technical and commercial acumen .Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Leads and coordinates product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities.
- Interacts directly with marketing manager/specialists to identify new marketing opportunities.
- Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.
- Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to marketplace.
- Facilitates and coordinates marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships.
- Responsibilities may also include: coordinating trade show activities, website development, developing future e-commerce strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
- Support the marketing team with the logistics services in preparing product seminars, marketing events etc.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to understand the reasons for backorders and release plan and update with sales team
- Develop product positioning and messaging tailored to healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct market research to identify clinical needs, competitor landscape, and emerging trends in the medical device space.
- Collaborate with regulatory, sales, and clinical teams to align marketing strategy with product lifecycle and compliance requirements.
- Create marketing assets including brochures, case studies, white papers, presentations, and digital content.
- Organize and manage industry events, medical conferences, workshops, and KOL (Key Opinion Leader) engagement programs.
- Support product launches through coordinated go-to-market strategies, sales enablement tools, and internal training. Maintain strong knowledge of local and global healthcare regulations and reimbursement processes.

- Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Completed bachelor’s degree qualifications
- Min 5 years of experience in marketing or sales in the healthcare industry
- Strong and on-time execution focus
- Good presentation and effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Computer and MS Office proficiency
- Nice to have:
- Project Management skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Must have ability to drive communications strategies and influence stakeholders
- Proven Business Acumen
- Ability to create and sustain relationship development/collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders, Marketing, Clinical, R&D, Health Economics, and Sales
- Clinical and/or product marketing experience
- Experience with market and revenue modeling.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter that anticipates and has a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% (including international) in support of tradeshows, internal meetings and customer programs as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
