The Job
As an operational buyer with a technological interest, you and your three coworkers will be in charge of acquiring largely specific components to manufacture our cameras. You will order supplies and parts locally and internationally, check the quality, and ensure adequate and timely availability. As a result, you will maintain a positive and long-term connection with our suppliers. This role is appropriate for someone with previous purchasing expertise who wants to continue working in the purchasing industry with a strong dose of ambition.
Your Day as an Operational Buyer:
- You order the necessary components and supplies based on order signals from the ERP system and track these orders daily.
- You collaborate daily with the production planner, check delivery times, and respond appropriately to planned changes.
- You interact with senior buyers daily on supplier selection regarding quality and technical needs.
- You prepare the sending and requesting of offers/quotations.
- You give excellent administrative assistance for the procurement procedure.
- You communicate with suppliers and internal customers (manufacturing, R&D, engineering); and you resolve concerns and complaints.
- You maintain the ERP system's price lists, items, and supplier data.
- You guarantee that clients and suppliers are communicated with professionally.
Your resume:
- At least two years of experience in a comparable job. It would be advantageous if this occurred in a low-volume high-tech manufacturing setting.
- Prior experience with the SAP ERP program is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites (particularly Excel and Outlook).
- Stress resistance (ability to accomplish numerous jobs simultaneously).
- Analytical and solution-oriented, as well as adaptable and collaborative.
- You are a true go-getter who takes the initiative.
- You are driven to learn, grow, and continuously improve.
- You have excellent verbal and written mastery of English.
