About Automotive Catalysts
We all have the right to breathe clean air, and at Umicore, we are a world leader in the production of automotive emission control catalysts. Our technologies enable on-road and non-road applications to meet environmental standards around the world. Our products have prevented billions of tons of harmful gases and particles being released into the atmosphere. To enable our customers to produce even cleaner engines we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.
- Coordinate daily transport activities (inbound and outbound) for raw materials and finished goods - Planning and preparing weekly transport plan in cooperation with all requestors based on agreed Incoterms
- Communicate with transport service providers to plan and book shipments
- Monitor transport performance, track deliveries, and react promptly to any disruptions or delays
- Ensure that transport-related documentation (CMR, delivery notes, etc.) is complete and accurate
- Cooperate closely with the warehouse, planning, customer service, and procurement teams
- Support freight cost control and invoice verification processes
- Participate in transport tenders and improvement initiatives to optimize logistics costs
- Ensure compliance with legal and internal transport safety and quality requirements
- Handle transport-related complaints, incidents, and support root cause analyses (e.g., in 8D format)
- Review and change of master data in Transportation Management System
- Manage time slot bookings for loadings and unloadings, ensuring optimal use of dock capacity
- Coordinate Customs and Intrastat reporting topics to ensure legal compliance
- Periodically review and improve procedures and processes related to transportation
- Fully manage the shipment refining process (e.g. grouping, optimization, final shipment release)
- Act as a substitute for team members according to the internal substitution matrix
- Ensure accurate and timely SENT declarations for applicable shipments
- University degree – Logistics related degree preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of SAP or TMS systems is a plus
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); Polish fluency is required
- Previous experience in transport coordination, logistics, or supply chain (1–3 years preferred)
- Solid understanding of transport processes and documentation (road freight knowledge is a must)
- Knowledge of transport laws, intrastat, SENT and customs minimum on basic level
- Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and Automotive Quality /EHS systems
- Good communication and negotiation skills (daily contact with carriers and internal stakeholders)
- Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to operational issues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with Incoterms and international transport regulations
- Understanding of sustainability goals related to transport (e.g. CO₂ optimization)
