Provides leadership and oversight to the record-to-report group within Shared Services. Ensures the correct preparation of income statement and balance sheet, various other reports used for management analysis and external reporting. Analyzes financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to accounting policies and related processes. Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements. Assists in the setup of processes and procedures that capture, track and report revenue in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Detects and promotes automation opportunities and manages the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation. Advises leadership in terms of financial reporting, internal controls, tracking and performance.
- Directs the activity of accounting teams and team leaders.
- Through collaboration with other teams and business partners, manages end-to-end processes to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and compliance.
- Works closely with Corporate Accounting to provide appropriate data for internal, external, SOX and tax audits.
- Accountable for day-to-day and longer-term planning, initiatives and operations.
- Ensures internal accounting and finance management and related process controls are effective and fit for purpose.
- Manages and coordinates monthly financial close process.
- Coordinates activities to ensure results are final, reported in the prescribed manner and within established corporate reporting deadlines.
- Leads the design and directs implementation, adherence, maintenance, and education of accounting policies (SOPs).
- Leads the resolution of complex questions raised by team members, clients and business partners.
- Manages and monitors the team's accountability for KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Typically has 8-10 years of experience in Accounting and typically 2-4 years leadership experience.
- Experience in working with US GAAP
- Experience working in SAP
- Fluent business English skills (Written and spoken).
