Based in Poland (Krakow office), Regional Legal Compliance & DPO Leader - Europe is part of the Compliance team, reports to the Global VP Compliance and will coordinate compliance efforts within an international network, acting as the Regional DPO for Europe and interacting with the Regional positions in Asia and the Americas.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data protection policies that comply with all regulations applicable to OPmobility entities and activities, including the GDPR;
- Supervise and coordinate data protection compliance across OPmobility's international network.
- Work closely with regional DPOs to ensure a unified and consistent approach to data protection;
- Act as the Regional DPO for Europe and local DPO for Poland, ensuring compliance with data protection laws;
- Interact with the Regional Compliance position for Asia and the Americas, addressing local compliance challenges and initiatives as well as ensuring effective communication and cooperation;
- Develop and execute compliance strategy for data protection management, ensuring alignment with the group's overall compliance objectives;
- Act as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities, managing communications and compliance inquiries;
- Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness and understanding of data protection requirements among employees;
- Lead the response to data breaches and other data protection incidents, ensuring timely reporting and mitigation;
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree within legal, compliance, GDPR domain or relevant;
- 5+ years of experience in GDPR/DPO and compliance (both);
- Experience from industrial/manufacturing companies;
- Fluent English;
- Experience in managing whistleblowling investigations and data breaches;
- Being solution-oriented and result-driven;
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively;
- High level of transparency and communication
