Keepit is looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team in Kraków, Poland
About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and business-savvy Legal Counsel with a strong foundation in contract law, and employment law — ideally with legal advisory experience or equivalent. This person will play a key role in ensuring local legal compliance, and collaborating across departments to address the legal challenges of a fast-scaling tech company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on local matters in Poland, including employment law, IT compliance, and day-to-day business operations in Kraków.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, vendor agreements, and employment documentation.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor for internal stakeholders and external clients, especially those establishing operations in Poland.
- Support legal risk management and advise on cross-functional legal issues.
- Offer guidance on procurement, sales, and cross-border data transfers.
- Stay current on changes in EU and local Polish legislation, sharing insights with the broader team.
- Support legal tech adoption to streamline internal processes.
- Provide input on data privacy or GDPR compliance.
About you
To excel at this role, you’ll need:
- Master’s degree in Law.
- 5+ years of experience as a legal counsel specialising in employment law and commercial contracts either in-house or at a law firm.
- Solid knowledge of Polish labor law; familiarity with data privacy laws is a plus, but not required.
- Extensive experience with contract negotiation and review in the tech or SaaS sector.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, agile environment with autonomy and ownership.
- Excellent written and spoken English; French is a significant plus.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to liaise across multiple functions.
- Familiarity with SaaS business models, cloud computing, and related legal challenges is a plus.
