For our Client, an international automotive company, we are currently looking for an Junior Buyer.
Responsibilities
Support the management of a specific group of materials (e.g., plastic parts) in line with overall purchasing strategy
Assist in supplier selection, onboarding, and phase-out processes
Help prepare and support contract and price negotiations
Track basic purchasing KPIs and assist with cost tracking and savings reporting
Work closely with engineering, logistics, and quality teams to support smooth cooperation with suppliers
Assist in resolving supplier issues, escalating when needed with support from senior colleagues
Support early project phases and sourcing activities in collaboration with the sales team
Requirements
Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or similar — or relevant practical experience
Around 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, or project coordination (internships or junior roles welcome)
Interest in plastic injection molding technologies and supply chain topics
Good communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus
Confident with MS Office; experience with SAP or sourcing tools is a plus
Proactive, structured, and eager to learn
A true team player with a hands-on attitude
