Commodity Buyer will be dedicated to support our Electronics Commodity, more specifically EMS (electronic manugacturing services)/PCBA.
This position is a replacement for maternity leave (expected end of cooperation Q4 2026).
Although we cannot guarantee permanent cooperation at this point, if the cooperation goes well, we will do our best to keep the selected person further in the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Managing supplier base (PCB/PCBA segment);
- Market analysis (benchmark, professional fairs, market trends, innovation);
- Managing the suppliers relationships according to OPmobility purchasing policy;
- Following and reporting the suppliers performance;
- Leading the suppliers sourcing process in the respect of the procedures;
- Leading negotiation with the suppliers and internal customers;
- Contractualization with the customers;
- Promoting the technical savings proposed by the suppliers;
- Taking part or leading internal working groups for technical savings identification or problem solving
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Plastic Engineering Degree or business background with specialty in purchasing management is highly appreciated;
- Previous experience as a commodity buyer in an industrial & international environment;
- Purchasing market knowledge & Commodity strategy management;
- Negotiation skills;
- Project management;
- Fluent English;
- Willingness to long distance business trips (may happen once/twice a year)
