The Fleet IT team is a dynamic, dedicated IT team ensuring seamless Fleet application performance both onboard and onshore. The Fleet IT Products team manages IT administrative work for our fleet, and oversees IT infrastructure for new building projects. Additionally, generates data analytics for company's fleet operations.
- Lifecycle Management: oversee fleet management systems’ third-party applications, sensors and OT throughout their lifecycle. Ensure quality assurance, testing, deployment, maintenance, and manage projects for new enrollments like crew planning, procurement, engine monitoring, nautical tools, OT & sensors
- Network Integration: incorporate applications into appropriate networks and servers, both onshore and onboard vessels
- Project Management: oversee and track the implementation of systems and applications projects both onshore and onboard our vessels
- Sensor Management & Rollout: investigate, analyze and rollout of ship-to-shore sensor data transmission concepts for our heterogeneous fleet to support Data, Insights and AI department; manage and own corresponding edge product lifecycle used on board of our fleet; compare and select suitable providers, plan and manage hardware rollouts, coordinate onboard installations, and monitor ongoing data transmission quality together with technical fleet management
- Troubleshooting: deliver advanced support to resolve structural issues associated with servers, networks, database management, and operating systems; provide assistance to our teams in utilizing onboard technologies effectively
- Documentation: create and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure application integrity and security
- Stakeholder Management: effectively communicate with all organizational levels, users, and external contractors
- Future Proofing: enhance onboard IT to address digitalization opportunities and challenges
- Min. 5 years of experience in application or server administration roles
- Expert knowledge of server management, networks, databases, and operating systems
- Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and 3rd level support of applications
- Proficiency in managing projects in an organized way in a complex and dynamic environment
- Proven agile project management skills in IT and stakeholder management experience
- Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance principles
- Experience in managing software and service provider vendor
- Completed education in computer engineering, computer science, IT administration or a related field
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Experience in fleet management applications (e.g., Sertica, PAL, NavigatorPort), operational systems (e.g., Marorka, Hoppe, Refcon, Tekomar, S-Insights, Hoppe), or within the logistics/shipping industry is a plus
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on international business trips will be an asset
