We are seeking a talented individual to join our Controllership Team as Accounting Controller Assistant. This role will cover the preparation and management of all regulatory accounting and controller operations for operations located in CEE region.
We will count on you to make accounting decisions, oversee the control environment, manage internal and external reporting , and collaborate closely with the local accounting provider, FP&A, Business Leaders, and the Accounting Operations Teams.
This role will be based in Warsaw, Poland. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to the leaders by evaluating, analyzing and reporting appropriate data points
- Manage relations with internal and external stakeholders / clients such as a business stakeholders, accounting operations team, tax advisors, tax office, auditors
- Ensure US GAAP and local GAAP compliance and tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT) for required operation company
- Take responsibility for reconciling the local books to the US GAAP books
- Possess the necessary experience in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Coordinate or assist in the coordination of the annual external audit
- Provide support to Accounting Operations and Controllership concerning Accounts Payable, T&E, GL and Accounts Receivables when needed
- Manage preparation of the local transfer pricing documentation
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Manage and monitor the implementation of company projects
- Recommend and support for any projects aimed at enhancing accounting technology
What you need to have:
- Min. 7 years of experience in accounting / audit / controllership in a global organization
- ACCA (or at least 9 passed exams) or an equivalent professional qualification
- Good knowledge tax (VAT, CIT, WHT) and accounting principles
- Experience in local GAAP to group GAAP reconciliation
- Fluency in English
- Great command of Excel, including the ability to collect and integrate accounting data from different sources
- Strong project management skills and understanding of processes and controls
- Very good team collaboration and communication skills

- Prior roles as a senior accountant / accounting manager with a focus on statutory reporting or BIG 4 audit experience
- Working knowledge of Oracle 12
