Senior Product Designer
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer!
We are looking for a visionary Senior Product Designer to lead the design of user-centric solutions and interfaces with a high degree of autonomy. This role emphasizes Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodologies, ensuring user needs are at the forefront of the design process. The Senior Product Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and co-create solutions directly with users to deliver solution designs that align with business goals, provide high user and customer value, and drive strategic initiatives. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and inspiring junior and mid-level designers while influencing design culture across the platform.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human-Centered Design & Product Discovery
- Apply HCD principles to identify user needs, behaviors, and pain points through comprehensive research and co-create user/market fit from the initial problem/idea to the final solution.
- Conduct advanced discoveries, user experience data analysis, and insights synthesis, integrating findings into strategic design solutions that anticipate future user needs and industry trends.
- Apply CX/UX methodologies such as journey mapping and service blueprinting, driving their usage as strategic tools for decision-making and roadmap prioritization.
- Drive understanding of the target state of solutions and services by co-creating to-be experience maps and future visions with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and users.
- Measure and monitor user feedback, product adoption, and performance metrics, ideating discovered opportunities for further improvement.
- Design adaptive product onboarding tools or guides that enable users to achieve quick and effective product mastery.
Product Strategy
- Lead the implementation of the design strategy for the product, ensuring the user and their needs are at the center while considering technical feasibility and business viability.
Rapid Prototyping & Experimentation
- Translate user problems and insights into hypotheses as starting points for experimentation.
- Develop prototypes powered by AI and other design artifacts such as storyboards for fast user testing, validation, and iteration within innovation design sprints or product sprint cycles.
Design and Development
- Lead the design and development of user interfaces and experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and accessible, closely collaborating with developers.
- Create seamless and streamlined visual designs across products, ensuring adherence to design principles and quality standards.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other designers to deliver cohesive and user-centric designs, applying common design practices and promoting consistency and reusability of components.
- Proactively communicate and ideate solution ideas with product users and stakeholders to gather feedback, ensure alignment, and foster a culture of co-creation.
Learning and Growth
- Continuously enhance design skills and stay updated with the latest design tools and methodologies, including exploring opportunities to harness AI and machine learning to enhance design processes.
- Understand the business and market needs and processes associated with the digital product, adapting design strategies to align with organizational goals.
- Embrace a mindset of continuous learning, encouraging experimentation and innovation within the design team.
Workshop Facilitation
- Conduct design workshops and innovation design sprints with the help of modern AI technologies in cross-functional teams and with users and stakeholders.
WHO YOU ARE:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in product design.
- Extensive experience with Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design.
- Ability to create low, medium, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Fluency in AI tools and their application in design processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong user research, insights synthesis, and usability testing skills.
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma).
- Familiar with frontend engineering and experienced in collaborating with developers, data engineers and architects
Preferred
- Familiarity with modern design standards, agile environments, and the Product Development Lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of systems thinking and service design principles.
- Motivation to work in an agile and changing environment in our life science company.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to envision future trends in design and user experience, driving innovation within the team.
