Logistics Operations Team Lead – EMEA Region

Are you a logistics professional with a passion for leadership and operational excellence? FMC is looking for a Logistics Operations Team Lead to oversee daily freight operations and guide a team of logistics specialists. In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth execution of road, sea, and air shipments while driving process improvements and fostering a high-performance team culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Team: Manage and mentor a team of 7–9 logistics professionals, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality performance.

• Oversee Shipments: Ensure timely and compliant execution of all transport modes—road, sea, and air—from dispatch to delivery.

• Drive Operational Excellence: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

• Resolve Complex Issues: Act as the escalation point for logistics challenges, including customs delays, carrier issues, and shipment discrepancies.

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Planning) and external partners (carriers, warehouses, freight forwarders).

• Monitor Performance: Track logistics KPIs, analyze trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Ensure Compliance: Uphold all relevant shipping regulations and internal policies, proactively managing risks across the logistics chain.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in logistics and supply chain operations.

• Leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.

• Strong knowledge of international transport regulations and international trade in a B2B multinational company.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong knowledge of SAP S4 (S&D module) and MS office Pack (Excel).

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred).
