Role Overview:
As a Junior Medical Billing Specialist, your role will revolve around the daily processing of invoices and claim forms for all patient claims, to following up on outstanding accounts with clients such as doctors, hospitals, and insurers. Your day can vary from data extraction and analysis to training new team members, or learning how to use a new system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Entering billing information based on info received from various entities, including patients, hospitals, insurers etc
- Handling internal and external email/phone queries from patients, hospitals, insurers and clients.
- Maintaining high level of professionalism, providing precise and accurate information or instruction on next steps.
- Ensuring quality of claims meets all standards set by insurance companies, clients and hospitals.
- Following all rules for certain clients/hospitals during the process in order to achieve maximum reimbursement and a high level of clients' satisfaction.
- Become familiar with the various Insurers Schedule of Benefit Ground Rules
- Establishing and maintaining good client and hospital relationships at all levels.
- Ad hoc billing team duties as they arise
Skills Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent English
- Strong Attention To Detail & Time Management
- Previous office experience essential
- Solid data entry skills
- Ability to work under pressure
