Andersen is hiring a Business/System Analyst for a telecom project in Kazakhstan. The role focuses on supporting BSS system transformation and vendor selection to improve business processes and IT systems.

The project is focused on supporting the client in the strategic transformation of its BSS system, including the preparation and execution of a full-cycle RFP process to select a new vendor. The goal is to enhance business flexibility, optimize operational processes, and modernize the IT landscape through a structured and expert-driven vendor selection approach.
Responsibilities
- Clarifying system-related aspects of business requirements: data sources, processing logic, and constraints.
- Gathering information on data formats, mappings, and validation rules.
- Decomposing integration flows into logical sequences.
- Preparing interface tables: protocol, method, structure, frequency.
- Defining system requirements and integration specifications for the Terms of Reference (ToR).
- Describing business rules and scenarios in a vendor-ready format.
- Creating evaluation matrices with criteria for system compatibility, API flexibility, and data management.
- Supporting the development of checklists and tables for vendors.
- Analyzing vendor responses for supported formats, interface configurations, and compliance with requirements.
- Preparing clarification questions and participating in Q&A sessions.
- Verifying demo implementations of system scenarios (order processing, calculations, exceptions) and documenting integration behavior compliance.
- Comparing solutions based on configurability, support for business rules, and technical flexibility.
- Preparing GAP tables for system and interface components.
- Assessing the impact on TCO related to integration efforts and implementation complexity.
- Supporting architects and business analysts in drawing conclusions and preparing technical annexes for reports and presentations.
Requirements
- Experience as a Business/System Analyst in projects involving the development or implementation of BSS/OSS solutions, including in the telecom industry for 3+ years.
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with BSS systems, including CRM, Billing, Product Catalog, and Order Management.
- Experience analyzing integration flows, API interfaces, data processing logic, and system rules.
- Experience with integration buses: ESB, REST/SOAP, file exchange, Kafka.
- Participation in data migration projects and development of attribute models.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with XML/JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI, SQL.
- Proficiency in modeling using BPMN and UML (Sequence, Data Flow, ERD).
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Enterprise Architect.
- Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.
