What the day will look like
- Serve as subject matter expert on complex accounting topics
- Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards, assess impact and guide implementation strategies
- Ensure successful deployment and administration of finance systems tools (account reconciliation, month end checklist, issue tracking and remediation) to finance and supported country
- Provide accounting guidance
- Check work from other team members, including regular spot checks to ensure quality is high
- Produce, analyze and share metrics and reports that describe the productivity and quality of the team's work
- Install controls such that it can be proactively ensured that all tasks are completed on time
- Design and maintain improvements for accounting workflows
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Serve as primary liaison with external auditors
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation for technical accounting processes and controls
- Support compliance
- Communicate technical accounting policy changes
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of relevant experience in finance (AP/GL)
- Excellent analytical, communication and project management skilll
- English level – at least B2+
