The Role
Imperial Brands, an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees, is looking for a Tactical Buyer with Dutch to join our GBS Cracow office.
Tactical Buyer will be focused on tactical and transactional sourcing activity in relation to operational spend, both direct materials and indirect services, not covered by strategic category management teams, will also support category strategy development, delivering projects in cooperation with procurement Category teams
Tactical Buyer will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing project including negotiations, and supplier management
Principle Accountabilities
- Negotiate with external suppliers (phone, Teams, in person), evaluate and compare proposals, re-tender, renegotiate or extend contracts.
- Provide sourcing activity for new spend as required by business stakeholders.
- Support operational procurement by delivering value to buying activities, managing tenders, ensuring compliance, and monitoring non-compliant behaviours.
- Ensure cost transparency by providing visibility into cost structures and spend within the area of responsibility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Commodity and Category Managers to implement strategies, align with business units, and meet procurement requirements and strategic goals.
- Utilise eProcurement tools (eAuction/eBidding) to improve the procurement process and efficiency.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience as a Tactical Buyer or Senior Buyer with experience in transactional buying.
- Experience using Procurement sourcing platforms.
- Good understanding of End-to-End Sourcing process (S2P).
- Experience in planning, organizing and managing multiple projects.
- Strong numerical, financial and data analysis skills.
- Strong English and Dutch language skills – written and verbal.
- Adapt at working in both team environment and solo.
