Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Rust).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- 1 year of experience working with embedded operating systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with C, C++ or Rust.
- Experience with Linux Kernel.

Pixel Power Management Software team leads creating and supporting software solutions to Manage, Measure and Monitor Pixel device power along with Detection, Attribution and Mitigation of Power issues in order to improve Battery Life for Pixel devices and by extension the Android ecosystem for an excellent user experience with Battery Life.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support advanced power optimization Software/Firmware for Pixel SoC.
- Prioritize optimization for power, latency and system stability.
- Debug and triage power issues.
- Improve observability of the hardware and subsystem power states to Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
