Senior Sourcing Specialist is a strategic role for the Sherwin Williams EMEAI Sourcing Organization created to lead regional strategic sourcing efforts for specific subcategories of Additives. The role is to provide a proactive and cost-effective service to ensure a continuous supply of raw materials at a value and quality that meets or exceeds the various Division’s and business’ objectives.
Location: Rzeszów, Poland (hybrid model: 3 days from office, 2 days from home)
- A sourcing management responsibility for a given raw materials categories
- Ensuring that total cost of ownership is at the optimal level,
- Establishing the effective relationships with the key suppliers,
- Working on a proper selection of suppliers,
- Contract management - including suppliers’ evaluation, tendering, negotiations and drafting agreements & contracts
- Developing a broad market intelligence about the managed category of raw materials; sharing such information with the internal stakeholders,
- Developing and maintaining effective KPIs,
- Working with cross functional teams including Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales and R&D teams to deliver defined added value benefits, alternative sources and raw materials,
- Creating a sustainable and reliable supply chain whilst improving margins and company profitability
- Identify the knowledge and skills required to carry out the duties of this position in terms of formal education, specialized training, or previous experience or a combination. Identify the minimum requirements for the position rather than the personal qualifications of the incumbent(s). This might also include listing positions that are prerequisites for this position.
- At least four years of professional direct or indirect sourcing experience having awareness of large-scale and complex Direct sourcing programs, a solid understanding of procurement best practices and a track record of success with direct materials,
- Demonstrated strong self-initiative, sense of urgency, and customer relationship building skills,
- Prior success of working with cross-functional/cross-cultural teams, managing international relationships and leading projects and complex change initiatives across multiple sites and countries,
- Knowledge of Chemical or Paint industry and markets preferred but not essential.
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers, building business relationships, delivering results according to business needs.
- Ability of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting,
- Educated to degree and/or Diploma level or equivalent.
