As a Senior Group Reporting Accountant reporting to the Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager, your purpose will be to take ownership of our statutory reporting processes and consolidation for the Booksy Group, ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with Polish GAAP. You'll be instrumental in developing and improving these processes in our fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and delivering accurate monthly and annual consolidated financial statements and supporting internal reporting, all in compliance with Polish GAAP.
- Managing intercompany (IC) transactions, including reconciliation and confirmation, and assisting with audit and review processes.
- Collaborating with accounting teams across the Group, external auditors, and advisors to resolve accounting treatment issues and ensure smooth reporting processes.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Group Accounting Policy, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely financial reporting.
- Participating in strategic financial projects, such as the implementation of new accounting standards and the accounting for new acquisitions, as well as implementing internal controls in the accounting area.
Requirements
Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you’re going to need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, OR a Polish Accountants Association certificate (min. 2nd degree).
- 5+ years in accounting, including at least 3 years as a consolidation specialist within an international group.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of Polish GAAP.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing accounting processes, including multi-currency consolidation.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, including excellent proficiency in Excel and a detail-oriented, independent, and systematic approach.
- Fluency in English (B2+) for effective international collaboration.
It will also help you to have:
- Experience with Business Central (Navision).
- Prior involvement in ERP/accounting platform implementation and development.
