The Senior Consultant will work as part of a team on engineering and consultancy assignments for a range of offshore wind farm projects in Poland and globally. You will provide expert analysis and advice on topics such as cable routing analysis and cable system transport and installation. This will be for the design and construction of offshore wind farms.
What will you be doing?
- Review cable route engineering, planning and burial risk assessment works.
- Undertake cable installation, burial and protection, and landfall appraisal technical studies.
- Perform reviews of cable failures and scour assessments.
- Conduct and oversee engineering reviews on Marine Warranty cable projects.
- Assist developing designs and specifications for cable construction projects.
- Assist project teams to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to clients with the timeframe, costs and quality standards established.
- Ensure all deliverables are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies.
- Assist preparing tenders and proposals.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and team members across the ABL Group
- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients marketing the capabilities of OWC.
What are we looking for?
Your background could be Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Geoscience. Ideally, you will have worked in a consultancy environment previously. More specifically, we are looking for the following:
- At least 5 years’ experience as an engineer in the field of submarine cable transport and installation. Exposure to engineering consultancy.
- Strong technical knowledge and comprehensive overview on development, construction and operational phase(s) of renewable projects.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in cable route engineering procedures and feasibility desk top studies.
- Demonstrable knowledge of cable landing techniques (HDD and open cut trenching), cable burial and protection, and submarine cable transport and installation engineering
- Fluent in English and Polish.
Further Information:
This position can be based at our offices in Warsaw or Gdansk.
You must have the right to live and work in Poland.
Occasional attendance at client sites, either offshore or onshore, will be required for this position.
