Role Purpose
The Senior Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in driving our business transformation and system modernization initiatives. This role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that functional needs are accurately translated into technical solutions that support scalable, secure, and integrated enterprise platforms.
You will be responsible for capturing requirements, documenting business processes and gaps, mapping system integrations, and translating strategic needs into functional and technical documentation - all in support of modernizing our enterprise SaaS ecosystem, APIs, and data flows.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Process Analysis
- Facilitate discovery workshops with stakeholders across business units to gather, validate, and document business requirements.
- Conduct gap analyses between current and target-state processes, systems, and data usage.
- Maintain traceability matrices to ensure business needs are met across solution designs.
System & Data Flow Mapping
- Create visual system integration diagrams and process flowcharts (e.g., BPMN, UML).
- Map data flows, dependencies, and integration points across platforms (e.g., CRM, CPQ, Billing, ERP, SaaS infrastructure).
- Define data and system relationships, APIs, and events in functional documentation.
Specification Development
- Translate business and functional requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and API interface definitions.
- Collaborate with engineering and vendor teams to ensure implementation aligns with requirements.
Integration & API Familiarity
- Understand and document existing and future-state API connections, webhooks, and system handoffs.
- Act as a liaison with integration architects to ensure clean, maintainable system connectivity.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a cross-functional communicator between product, engineering, finance, operations, and vendors.
- Lead working groups and support steering committees with process insights and system documentation.
- Ensure common understanding of business rules, data ownership, and decision flows.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Solution Design in a SaaS or enterprise context.
- Proficiency in process documentation (BPMN, flowcharts), user stories, and functional specs.
- Experience working with APIs, integration platforms, and common data exchange formats (JSON, XML).
- Understanding of system architecture principles, enterprise data flows, and service-oriented designs.
- Skilled in tools such as: Confluence, Jira, Lucidchart, Miro, Notion, Visio, Postman.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in one or more enterprise domains: billing systems (e.g., Zuora, Chargebee), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), CPQ, ERP, or identity platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps environments, and modern software delivery pipelines.
- Exposure to data governance, compliance, and master data management practices.
- Knowledge of Simon-Kucher packaging and pricing concepts is a plus.
