We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems for our multi-chain crypto wallet platform.
This is a critical role for someone with deep expertise in blockchain integrations, API development, and backend architecture who is eager to push the boundaries of Web3 innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and build systems for wallet creation and management in both custodial and non-custodial configurations
- Enable seamless communication with blockchain nodes for transaction processing
- Develop tools for transaction creation, signature handling, and broadcasting
- Maintain accuracy in internal ledger updates, balance tracking, and activity logging
- Integrate external APIs for exchange buy/sell services, on/off-ramping functionality, and price feed data
- Ensure code quality through modular development, documentation, and comprehensive testing
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to collaborative code reviews
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready features
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building APIs and backend services using Java
- Proven background with at least 3 years in blockchain integrations
- Proficiency in interacting with blockchain RPCs, with a focus on transaction processing
- Experience working in remote, agile environments with strong team collaboration practices, including version control and peer reviews
Nice to have
- Expertise in account abstraction, MPC wallets, or zero-knowledge (ZK) systems
