Revenue Analyst
Location: Warsaw
Responsibilities
- Revenue Forecasting & Market Analysis
- Develop and maintain revenue models for operational and under-development PV and BESS assets, incorporating market trends, regulatory changes, and historical performance.
- Analyze power market dynamics (e.g., day-ahead, intraday, balancing markets, ancillary services ) and how they impact storage and solar revenue streams.
- Support merchant strategy formulation by simulating different scenarios for energy prices, ancillary services, and capacity markets.
- Asset Performance Optimization
- Track and assess revenue performance vs. forecast for existing assets; identify deviations and propose mitigation or optimization measures.
- Work with commercialization desks or external route-to-market partners to evaluate performance against benchmarks and contracted terms.
- Evaluate bidding and dispatch strategies (manual and algorithmic) to improve energy arbitrage and ancillary service participation for BESS.
- Financial and Commercial Analysis
- Conduct analysis on various offtake structures (PPAs, CfDs, tolling, floor, merchant exposure) and advise on optimal pricing and contract selection.
- Support Investment office analysts teams with revenue input for financial models.
- Monitor impact of grid fees, negative pricing, and curtailment on asset revenues.
- Data & Reporting
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to visualize KPIs such as energy sold, market prices, state-of-charge (SOC) dynamics, and degradation-adjusted returns.
- Automate data collection and normalization from SCADA, market platforms, and trading partners for accurate revenue attribution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- A few years work experience with energy trading, portfolio management, risk management, data analysis or other related jobs
- Strong proficiency in Excel and knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, market simulation software) is highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of energy markets, BESS technologies, and relevant regulations or grid codes.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical and financial data into actionable recommendations.
