- Responsible for hands-on needs within the Data Centers:
- Facilities management
- Vendor management
- Inventory management
- (Google Provided) Hardware provisioning
- (Google Provided) Hardware maintenance & replacement
- Responsible for the upgrades and maintenance of infrastructure that the Ops teams use:
- Operator account management
- Operator workstation management
- Audit log management
- Operations center systems Management
- Support generalists triaging incoming requests and closing most of the inbound tickets :
- Customer communications
- Customer case handling
- Third party escalations
- Incident response
- Incident troubleshooting
- First escalation for novel or complicated Incidents, and oversight maintenance:
- Patches & upgrades
- Configuration management
- Organization management
- Capacity management
- Proactive management
- Alert response
- Backup & restore
- Major incident management
- Business continuity
- Disaster recovery
- Audit support
- Responsible for all Upper and Lower networking components GDCH, as well as the Operations Suite network:
- Network management
- Network troubleshooting
- Responsible for overseeing and monitoring the security of all systems within the region:
- Secure case management
- Vulnerability management
- Continuous monitoring
- Security information & event management (SIEM)
- Security incident response
- Insider threat management
- Oversees shifts and manages escalations:
- Personnel management
- Major incident management
