Job Description
Role Overview
The Global Mobility Specialist is responsible for delivering operational support and coordination across a range of global mobility activities. This role will work closely with various internal teams including Tax, Finance, and People functions, as well as external providers, to support compliant and smooth employee mobility experiences. The Specialist ensures adherence to mobility policies, assists with compliance tracking, and contributes to process improvements and education across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform global mobility activities in line with organizational policy and compliance standards.
- Provide input and support for business projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Tax, Finance, and People teams.
- Support the implementation of new country- or region-specific mobility regulations, under guidance from senior team members.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training materials and onboarding for new members of the Global Mobility team.
- Communicate mobility-related updates and compliance impacts to colleagues in other functions.
- Investigate and support resolution of complex compliance situations, working in conjunction with internal and external parties (e.g., Tax, Legal, external vendors).
- Help ensure that mobility policies are understood and followed across the business; flag potential policy enhancements based on employee and stakeholder feedback.
- Monitor compliance status of employee transfers in collaboration with the Tax department and escalate issues as necessary.
- Keep abreast of developments and trends within the global mobility industry for personal development and to inform best practices.
- Provide support for policy interpretation and assist with complex mobility cases.
- Coordinate with external mobility providers to ensure deliverables are met and billing aligns with agreed terms.
- Participate in change or improvement projects related to global mobility as assigned.
- Carry out additional duties or project work as directed by the line manager.
Qualifications
- University-level education is required.
- Strong IT proficiency including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and working knowledge of HR databases.
- Minimum of three years' experience in a Global Mobility role, with five years' total experience in HR or a related field.
- General understanding of international employment, immigration, taxation, and social security matters.
- Experience with external vendor management on an operational level.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across departments and geographies.
- Experience supporting project delivery or process improvements is a plus.
- Professional, diplomatic, and capable of working with individuals at all levels of the organization.
