This Position reports to:
Tax Delivery Manager
In this role, you will be working in the finance team in the Business Services (BS) organization, in the largest center located in Krakow, providing key support to the business, ensuring the accurate tracking and processing of all transactions.
Reporting to the Tax Delivery Manager you will provide key support to the business, applying relevant accounting techniques and standards to identify and resolve issues.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Managing teams with focus on effective operational execution, responsible for the short to midterm operational and tactical team activities
- Supporting in all tax matters related to the establishment of Finance and Accounting Tax Operations organization in Poland
- Monitoring and ensuring tax compliance for all Tax activities in line with corporate standards and guidelines
- Establishing, implementing and monitoring tax routines to ensure compliance across the BS Hub in scope with focus on the Tax process management tool for tax compliance status tracking
- Developing instructions about the handling of different tax issues during Tax roll-out, sharing them with local tax experts, obtaining their buy-in and making them part of the BS Finance Tax governance processes
- Leading, ensuring and participating in ABB internal tax reviews and projects that are part of the BS Finance scope
- Acting as the point of contact for external, internal and SOX audits and leading the internal control over Statutory reporting compliance process
- Supporting the management with financial aspects of project funding and risk assessment, resolve problems and difficult issues by implementing new solutions as well as assisting in developing and implementing processes and procedures
- Engaging with resources in a matrix organization working across multiple delivery teams to successful delivery project commitments with customer satisfaction (Agile Project Management framework)
Qualifications for the role
- You are highly skilled in tax compliance and the European market, with a particular focus on both direct and indirect tax compliance and tax accounting.
- You have 5 years of experience in the Tax area, demonstrating your ability to manage teams and navigate tax compliance challenges within Europe.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, and you are adept in utilizing Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills including functions and pivot tables.
- You are passionate about process orientation and have an innovative approach to detail orientation, ensuring meticulous attention to the finer points of tax compliance.
- You have a proven experience of qualifications in finance or a related field, underpinned by a strong foundation in tax principles and practices.
- You are at ease communicating in business English, capable of articulating complex tax concepts clearly and effectively.
