Engineering Manager in a CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine)

Your new role
As our new Engineering Manager in a CCGT team, you will join a global group of specialists working across the energy value chain. You will lead complex infrastructure projects that integrate gas and steam turbine technologies, supporting utilities, developers, and investors to deliver reliable and efficient power generation assets aligned with climate goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Technical Oversight
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with design codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Lead engineering teams in the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Engineering Project Leadership
- Develop and oversee engineering plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project, construction, procurement, and operations teams. Overseeing the eligibility of expenditures as per applicable funding methodology and ensuring financial compliance.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare engineering specifications, technical reports, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, technical decisions, and system updates.
- Quality Management
- Conduct technical reviews and audits to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Implement quality control procedures for engineering deliverables.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all engineering operations.
- Identify and manage technical risks.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience and 4 years as an engineering manager.
- Proven track record in larger energy projects as part of an Owners Engineer, Investor or EPC contractor team.
- Strong knowledge of gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, transformers, and control systems.
- Knowledge of conventional technologies of power and heat production including biomass will be an advantage
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD or process modelling tools).
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (especially local and German) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel for site supervision and stakeholder coordination.
