Project Manager – CCGT Projects

Your new role
As our new Project Manager (PM) in the CCGT team, you will join a global group of specialists working across the energy value chain. You will lead complex infrastructure projects that integrate gas and steam turbine technologies, supporting utilities, developers, and investors to deliver reliable and efficient power generation assets aligned with climate goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Project coordination & leadership:
- Coordinating, verifying, and aligning the work of the entire consulting team throughout project implementation and the guarantee period.
- Leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Managing the full lifecycle of CCGT projects – from feasibility and concept design to construction, commissioning, and handover
- Interfacing with stakeholders including technology providers (OEMs), contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring proper site organization and approving the Inspection, Testing and Delivery procedures of the Contractor.
- Technical, quality, safety, and environmental oversight
- Overseeing the global management of project reports, quality assurance (QA), health and safety (HSE), and environmental compliance.
- Monitoring all Contractor activities on-site, ensuring alignment with approved documentation, schedules, and work plans.
- Ensuring that project activities comply with current legislation, standards, and environmental requirements.
- Financial and contractual management:
- Ensuring full alignment with the financing contract, including timely updates through annexes/addenda where required.
- Managing budgets, schedules, risks, and contractual interfaces to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Overseeing the eligibility of expenditures as per applicable funding methodology and ensuring financial compliance.
- Developing and maintaining the project’s financial management system.
- Preparing financial documentation: payment requests, reimbursement claims, financial reports for the Contracting Authority.
- Drafting project amendments, budget updates, and sustainability documentation.
- Archiving financial documents and supporting audits or control processes.
Your profile
- University degree in engineering, energy, construction, or a related field (BSc or MSc).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience and 5 years as project manager.
- Experience in project management as PM or deputy PM in larger energy projects as part of an Owners Engineer, Investor or EPC contractor team.
- Direct project management experience in EPC or EPCM-type project within combined heat and power, heating field or in a larger energy project as part of an Owners Engineer, Investor or EPC contractor team.
- Strong command of contract management, including construction stage management.
- Excellent understanding of financing contracts, EU/public funding rules, and financial documentation standards.
- Solid leadership and stakeholder management skills in multidisciplinary environments.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (especially local and German) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel for site supervision and stakeholder coordination.

- Hybrid work model: Minimum 2 days working from the Ramboll office per week, while the remaining working time can be allocated to working from home office.
