Responsibilities
- Design and document ingestions from existing sources
- Collaborate with Principal Data Designer to design and document ingestions from new sources
- Collaborate with stakeholders and data platform teams to create designs that meet or exceed requirements, comply with principles, with supporting documentation delivered accurately and on time
- Keep up to date with the data design principles.
- Contribute to improvements to ways of working and documentation templates
- Peer review colleagues designs to ensure that they meet the requirements and principles
- Support the workstream by picking up additional design work when capacity allows

- Data modelling for enterprise data warehouses
- Works constructively with team and wider network to achieve deliverables
- Gathers and documents information as guided

- Works collaboratively in agile development process
- Engages with key stakeholders inside and outside of own area to make design decisions
- Strong attention to detail
- Supports the wider design team by asking questions and offering suggestions during design review sessions
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Learns new and deepens existing skills and techniques relevant to the role
- Querying and transforming data using complex SQL
- Conducting basic data profiling and analysis
- Modelling data into simple facts and dimensions (including SCD type 2 dimensions)
- Identifying basic data quality rules from the data source profiling and from business rules
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
