Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT
About this role:
The Direct Tax Specialist role focuses on US direct tax compliance. This includes assisting with the preparation and submission of tax returns, supporting with tax provisioning at the year end and tax audits. The role involves preparing analysis and ensuring amounts are correctly classified for tax purposes, as well as participating in tax planning. Key skills include direct tax knowledge, proficiency in SAP and Excel, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Accountabilities:
- Prepare analysis and computations included in direct tax returns for US entities.
- Responsible for preparation of quarterly direct tax account reconciliations (using Blackline application)Regularly review and revise procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Support with fixed assets reconciliations for tax purposes
- Stay updated on direct tax knowledge that impacts reporting and business operations.
- Participate in departmental and cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests and respond to queries.
- Perform selected monthly closing activities in line with corporate deadlines.
- Assist with other day-to-day direct tax compliance tasks.
Skills and Experience:
- Direct tax compliance knowledge

- 1-2 years direct tax experience
- University degree in Finance/Accounting
