About This Role:
As a Senior Analyst in the GBS US Rare Disease (SMA) Customer Data & Insights team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting USO processes and projects by providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations. Your primary responsibility will be to drive functional excellence through strategic thinking and advanced business analytics capabilities. By creating integrated strategic insights and robust analytical tools, you will help measure business performance effectively. Additionally, you will generate recommendations for process automation to enhance the USO team's insight generation and analytical capabilities. This role is central to supporting business decisions and marketing strategies, fitting seamlessly into the broader structure of the business.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and deliver high-quality reports and presentations to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable business insights.
Create reports and dashboards for national and subnational US CD&I Rare Disease (SMA) and leadership teams based on market dynamics and trends.
Proactively create ad-hoc analyses to aid in insight generation and business potential diagnosis.
Analyze US country data to identify data gaps and ensure accurate accounting of units, maintaining brand/product/KPI template mapping tables.
Provide analytical brand performance support by aggregating data from various sources into databases and models for decision-making.
Take corrective actions to ensure high data quality in volume-to-unit calculations and continuously automate processes.
Apply analytical expertise to support decision-making, conducting critical analyses by integrating multiple data sources.
Leverage standardized analytical tools to communicate key information, insights, and recommendations.
Collaborate with partners both within Biogen and externally to identify, prioritize, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the CD&I team.
Co-lead or support USO CD&I projects, ensuring successful completion.
Who You Are:
You possess a strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear, actionable insights. Your collaborative nature allows you to navigate the needs of multiple stakeholders effectively, and your strategic thinking helps in developing robust solutions. You have a keen attention to detail and are driven by a passion for leveraging data to drive business success. Your excellent communication skills enable you to present complex insights in an understandable manner.
Please note that this role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.
Required Skills:
Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
Proficient in English.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience within a large multi-national company or consulting firm, with a focus on big data analysis.
Proficient in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
Strong working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, preferably Power BI, and advanced Excel skills.
Experienced in creating Power BI dashboards to support analytics objectives.
Ability to mine multiple data sets and identify performance trends and patterns.
Excellent strategic thinking capabilities to diagnose business performance.
Highly collaborative, able to manage multiple stakeholders' needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Expertise in extracting, cleaning, and analyzing large data sets to identify trends and insights.
Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Power BI to create insightful dashboards and reports.
Experience with Shared Services/Global Business Services is an advantage.
