The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential for the organization’s operations. This role involves developing strategic sourcing plans, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that procurement activities align with the company’s goals for cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire procurement process from sourcing to purchase order execution and delivery.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate the relevant functions involved in the procurement process via regular calls.
- Verify and enter the relevant assets into the asset management system.
- Continuously look for cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
Requirements / Knowledge
- 7+ years of global procurement experience
- Experience with procurement systems and requirements.
Abilities / Competencies / Soft Skills
- Strategic thinking
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities
- Solid understanding of sourcing and supplier management.
- Experienced in data analysis and reporting
- Strong ethical judgment and integrity
- Fluent in English language
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
- Professional certifications in procurement such as CIPS will be considered advantageous
