About the Role
This position performs simple data management and analysis tasks within a specific functional area or data type. Requires moderate communication with data sources and contacts.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate source images to determine if documents meet the EPO’s refusal criteria.
- Flag and exclude unacceptable documents (e.g., blurred, skewed, or unreadable content) from further processing.
- Use proprietary XML and image editing tools to review and manually annotate missed or misaligned regions in acceptable documents.
- Perform final corrections on documents where errors persist after reprocessing, ensuring compliance with the EPO’s guidelines.
- Assist in training new employees and contribute to resolving problems when appropriate.
- Meet and/or exceed established quantity and quality production metrics.
- Actively participate in continuous process improvement projects.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data entry, document processing, or a related role.
- Familiarity with XML and image editing tools is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in evaluating and processing documents.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings.
- Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies as required.
- Proficiency in French or German is a plus, but not required.
