Job Description
Solidigm provides amazing user experiences across many devices. As a Firmware Validation Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to validate the firmware that powers Solidigm's cutting-edge Solid State Drives (SSDs). You will collaborate with a wide range of professionals to ensure our firmware meets or exceeds product and security requirements.
This internship is part of the Security Validation Team – a friendly, supportive group of engineers who ensure our SSD firmware meets the highest security standards. You’ll work in a collaborative environment with a strong team spirit, where knowledge sharing and mutual support are part of the culture. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn modern validation techniques, deepen your understanding of firmware and security, and grow your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to validate SSD firmware against security requirements
- Develop and maintain Python-based test scripts and frameworks
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes
- Apply modern validation methodologies and tools
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability
Qualifications
Required:
- Current student in Computer Science or a related field (must maintain student status throughout the internship)
- Good knowledge of Python and coding best practices
- Understanding of Git
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred:
- Familiarity with C programming
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Interest in firmware, embedded systems and cybersecurity
Working Conditions
- Internship based in Gdansk, Poland
- Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension
