The opportunity
Join us as an Environmental and Employee Health & Safety Specialist! You'll develop safety procedures, investigate incidents, deliver training, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional eager to make a real impact on workplace safety and environmental performance.
How you will make an impact:
- Being part of an EHS Team for Hitachi Energy Krakow Center with shared responsibility of safety and security of the location
- Regular inspections, EHS/OHS audits, SOT (Safety Observation Tours) and reporting their results
- Aligning and coordinating corrective actions as outcome of respective audits, if such arise
- Regular analyses of OHS trends within agreed KPI focusing on lagging and leading, in subordinate areas,
- Proactively leading initiatives improving the conditions of work environment, both office/lab space and well-being of the colleagues
- Maintain EHS system of procedures and files ensuring the implementation of both country legal regulations and Hitachi Energy requirements
- Support training framework and general competency and awareness growth of employees within EHS area
Your background:
- EHS education with valid certification within the field
- Min 3 years of experience within relevant field, working as EHS specialist
- English fluency at B2 or above
- High communication and senior stakeholder management skills
- Experience with critical communication is a plus
- Manufacturing background with continuous improvement focus is an advantage
