Team/Role Overview
The Distributed Scheduling Infrastructure Intermediate Technical Analyst resides within the Scheduling Operations Distributed Platform, a multi-disciplinary group that supports the Distributed Scheduling platforms for a range of Business units across the company.
The successfully candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, team player and a great manager of themselves, with proven technical experience within the distributed platform.
What you’ll do
Perform technical impact assessments, execute activities to restore and/or update services, resolve high impact problems and work on complex projects withing the Distributed Scheduling platform.
Appropriately assess the risks when technical decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation by safeguarding the company, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and submit automation requests for repetitive tasks.
Review requirement documents and update processes and procedures as necessary.
What we’ll need from you
Familiarity with distributed scheduling concepts and practices, hands on experience with distributed servers, scripting, and minimum knowledge of Distributed Scheduling tools, such as CA Autosys.
Capability to absorb and understand technical information and demonstrates good judgment and “business sense” in choosing alternatives and making decisions.
Ability to remain calm and objective while troubleshooting and problem solving in a high-pressure environment.
Meet production deadlines while working in a highly control centric organization.
Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Infrastructure Technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement.
BSc/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Lean Methodology, and Information Technology related certifications (ITIL, COBIT, AWS, GCP, Azure) are a plus.
