We are pleased to invite applications for the role of Associate Portfolio Management Specialist to join us in one of our manufacturing sites in Poland or Hungary (Gniezno / Namysłów / Fertőd). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our global operations and supply strategy and support pivotal business decisions.
Our Operations and Supply organization consists of approximately 8.000 employees globally, and even though your area of responsibility will mainly be within Operations & Supply, you will also participate in cross functional projects or deliverables across the VELUX organization.
Your role:
The Associate Portfolio Management Specialist will report to the Director of Strategy & PMO within Operations and Supply, and will be based at one of our production sites in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). You will be part of our global Portfolio Management Office team, currently consisting of six members, with plans for further expansion in 2025.
Although your base will be in a local factory, your role will provide a holistic, cross-site perspective on all VELUX production locations. This is a strategic position that will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the use of our Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system. You may help ensure that our teams have the tools, knowledge, and support they need to manage projects effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact for PPM system users: troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and promote best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external partners to address system bugs, access concerns, and continuous improvements.
- Develop and maintain user-friendly guides, training materials, and communication content using tools like SharePoint, Viva Engage, and PowerPoint.
- Organize and lead inclusive training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events.
- Support change management initiatives related to new system features or process updates.
- Partner with PPM super users, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather feedback and co-create solutions.
- Work with Portfolio Leads to ensure data quality and help users understand and apply data in their daily work.
Qualifications we are looking for are:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (field of study flexible).
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- A deep curiosity about digital tools and data, demonstrating a willingness to acquire new skills in different systems.
- Technical flair with the ability to learn and adopt to new IT systems.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, adapting your style to different audiences and situations
- Willingness to travel approximately 40 days per year
It's not required, but it would be really great to see
- A user experience focus, with understanding of communications and UI/UX principles (preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with project or portfolio management concepts (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to plan and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions effectively (preferred but not mandatory).
