For our team in Krakow we are seeking Accounts Payable Supervisor II (Lider Zespołu Księgowości Zakupów)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing, organizing and monitoring work of large teams with employees responsible for performing moderately complex tasks from process and accounting perspective; this can also include subordinate work leaders
- Coordinating, overseeing and improving the quality and efficiency of selected AP processes within the area of responsibility and in coordination with other supervisors across AP
- Applying acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent
- Setting priorities for the team and monitor their completion
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, relevant accounting requirements, internal controls
- Managing communication with internal clients and peer departments within Global Shared Services Accounting
- Fulfilling the role of process Subject Matter Expert in all of the accounts payable areas that fall under the team’s scope of work
- Monitoring, managing and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set for their area of responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCES/WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Very good understanding of the fundamental accounting theories, principles and concepts obtained through formal education: Bachelor or Master Degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economy), and/or through appropriate accounting related certifications, OR
- Extensive experience in Accounts Payable or other relevant roles/areas, proving possession of specific knowledge and experience in vast majority of accounts payable areas plus some basic knowledge and understanding of other disciplines or process areas impacting AP (e.g. procurement, general ledger, project accounting)
- Minimum 2-3 year of prior people management experience
- Ability to identify issues, analyze possible solutions and independently resolve problems with high complexity
- Ability to build positive working relationships and effectively work with different levels of an organization and with different global cultures
- People management skills, allowing for managing, organizing and monitoring work performed by the team as part of the responsibility for leading projects or managing the team in case of Supervisor’s absence
- Ability to organize and prioritize workloads, multi-task and meet required deadlines, SLAs and KPIs
- Very good verbal and written communication skills, as the position requires direct interaction with external auditors, senior management and other functional groups and departments
- Very strong leadership skills in the areas of motivation and professional development of subordinates
