About Us
Rapid Wrench is an innovative company specializing in the automotive repair space. We are seeking a hybrid UI/UX designer and QA tester to help elevate the user experience of our mobile service app and identify usability issues and bugs. You will test existing features, create detailed improvement plans, and translate them into developer-ready requirements.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys refining workflows and proactively spotting friction points.
Responsibilities:
- Test both client- and provider-facing versions of the mobile app to identify bugs, broken flows, and inconsistent logic (e.g., On Duty toggles, direct request visibility).
- Create wireframes and UX improvements in tools like Figma.
- Draft clear feature requirements, bug reports, and visual references for developers.
- Evaluate UX against standards set by apps like TaskRabbit, Wrench, and YourMechanic.
- Propose enhancements to user flows, including booking, payments, and job management.
- Work closely with the developer to ensure a smooth handoff of assets and logic.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a UI/UX designer in mobile-first or service-based platforms.
- Experience testing mobile apps and documenting bugs and flows.
- Proficiency in Figma (or similar design tools).
- Ability to write clear user stories, edge cases, and functional requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Eye for modern, clean design and intuitive UX.
Bonus:
- Experience with FlutterFlow app logic or Firebase data structures.
- Familiarity with B2C/B2B service apps (like Wrench or YourMechanic).
