Job Description Summary
The Supplier Quality Manager - MSD-BoP-Aero-Generators (SQM MBAG) will be responsible for the management operating system, quality management system, global continuous improvement and lean initiatives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Daily Management, global documentation repository and trackers (including the supervision of tracker owners/coordinators), maintenance and optimization of processes and procedures, regular reports and executive summaries as well as team’s operating rhythm for the Global MSD-BoP-Aero-Generators Supplier Quality team (MBAG SQ Team), to ensure execution of Quality actions in line with expected business outcomes and targets.SQM MBAG will be the focal point for establishing and supervising the rigor and rhythms by which the Supplier Quality team operates. This includes annual operating plans and weekly/monthly targets, monthly operating reviews (MORs) as well as operating rhythm for problem-solving and supplier quality improvement programs. SQM MBAG will strive for continue operational excellence, accelerated issue resolution and improved internal and external customer experience. SQM MBAG will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) as it relates to the scope of the MBAG SQ team, including support to regulatory certification maintenance (i.e. ISO 9001 certification), closure of any findings and the internal Quality audit plan in the scope of responsibility of the MBAG SQ Team.
This role will also support the MBAG SQ Staff to establish a strong and efficient interface between Supplier Quality and Strategic Sourcing, Engineering and Quality Value Streams functions.
This role will report to the Global MBAG SQ Leader (GSQL MBAG), supporting him/her in developing and implementing a global strategic plan to address top systemic supplier issues and execute this strategy in partnership with internal and external customers.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive execution of Quality action plans/owners to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
- Assess Quality KPIs and define Targets to Improve (TTI) with trend analysis, including early warning systems/projections;
- Ensure daily management and workflow in the MBAG SQ organization is aligned with business needs;
- Prepare bowlers, reports and executive summaries and drive regular operating rhythm with visibility across the business;
- Operate as a strong change agent with focus on executing efficiently in a complex global team;
- Ensure best practices and lessons learned are captured and shared across different commodities, regions, and suppliers;
- Serve as the core contact to Project teams in addition to regional SQMs and the GSQL; coordinate the creation and supervise execution of global inspection plans for individual projects;
- Own MBAG SQ team’s Quality Management System (QMS), assure regular upgrades and maintenance based on retorn-of-experience and lessons-learned;
- Leverage facts and data for problem solving, driving systematic Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA);
- Ensure processes (e.g. 8D, Read Across, Stop Work, Layered Process Review) drive systemic resolution;
- Train and deploy SQE resources to execute SDR and NCR resolution, coach critical RCAs/RCIs, support qualification and other SQ development activities;
- Initiate and, where appropriate, lead team Kaizens and Kaizen sprints;
- Leverage and promote, withing MBAG SQ team and in the wider SQ organization, the GE Vernova Way, SQDC and other corporate mindset/culture initiatives ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration and teaming;
- Assure timely maintenance of team’s OrgChart, Cloud resources, databases, trackers. Act as a functional leader of NCR, Inspection and other coordinators;
- Act as informational funnel and facilitator for effective communication among the MBAG SQ teams and stakeholders. Identify, deploy, and communicate the network of team’s contact points for each interface function;
- Support GSQL MBAG and his/her Staff in planning of a proactive global audit program to reduce and eliminate product & process risk and customer & factory escapes;
- Support GSQL MBAG and his/her Staff to develop the team capability: manage team expertise pool, identify gaps;
- Define SQE induction and training programs, supervise their execution;
- Identify and drive actions to intensify reduction of all waste and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ);
- Support Quality Value Streams initiatives and proactively identify and execute process simplification ideas to improve quality and efficiency;
- Be active member of Sourcing lean, deflation and cost out initiatives.

- Lead auditor certification or proven experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent field from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience
- Significant experience in quality, operations/supply chain or project management;
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally at short notice up to 25%;
- Fluent in English language.
