Make a difference to a vital part of our business
As a DevOps Engineer at Akamai, you'll be responsible for developing performant and scalable software. You will be working with a team of highly skilled developers to manage. the upgrade and deployment of a network of thousands of production servers.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating closely with the product engineering team and associated working group.
- Conducting production error audits and log analysis to proactively identify anomalies and error conditions.
- Designing and implementing software tools enhancing productivity in debugging, checklist creation, and product metric analysis.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for building releases and deploying across multiple environments.
- Analysing and triaging customer escalations, identifying, mitigating, and resolving product operational and behavioural issues.
- Participating as a specialist in technical incidents, performing root cause analysis and executing incident mitigations.
- Fostering a culture that strives for consistent, iterative improvement to our processes, strategies, tools and frameworks
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a new grad with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field/experience
- Be interested in learning about internet technologies and optimizations
- Develop and monitor backend applications, including databases, queuing systems, and understand system limits and performance impacts.
- Have experience with some technologies like Java, Angular, Spring Framework, NoSQL Databases, Realtime Service Delivery, containerization technologies
- Have expertise with scripting languages in a Linux/Unix environment (eg: shell, Bash, Python, Ruby)
