We are seeking a highly motivated Social Responsibility Auditor (CSR Auditor) to conduct on-site factory audits and assess compliance with health, safety, environmental, and labor laws. This role is critical in ensuring ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility (CSR) standards are met across various industries.
The auditor will be responsible for evaluating working conditions, identifying compliance gaps, and providing actionable recommendations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly in English.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audit & Compliance Assessment:
Conduct social responsibility audits at factories, suppliers, and manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with:
Health & safety standards (workplace safety, fire protection, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment).
Labor laws (working hours, wages, contracts, child labor, forced labor, discrimination, and freedom of association).
Environmental compliance (waste management, pollution control, resource usage, and sustainability initiatives).
Ethical business practices (anti-corruption, fair treatment of workers, and corporate governance).
Verify documentation such as employment contracts, payroll records, safety reports, and environmental permits.
Interview factory employees, supervisors, and management to assess working conditions and adherence to labor laws.
Identify non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions to suppliers and stakeholders.
2. Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare detailed audit reports in English, summarizing findings, areas of concern, and recommended improvements.
Ensure audit reports comply with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Provide objective and fact-based assessments with supporting evidence.
3. Stakeholder Communication & Support:
Present audit results to factory management and clients, ensuring they understand the findings and next steps.
Provide guidance to factories on remediation strategies to achieve compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to improve social responsibility and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Work Experience & Certifications:
Previous experience in CSR audits, factory inspections, compliance, or supply chain sustainability is highly preferred.
Priority given to candidates with industry audit experience or an APSCA CSCA auditor certification.
Knowledge of international labor standards (SA8000, ISO 45001, ILO conventions, and local labor laws).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex compliance issues.
Excellent report writing and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information and maintain integrity.
Willingness to travel frequently for on-site audits.
