Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Systems Programmer Analyst Sr. for Infomediary Data Shared Services, Systems Reliability & Standards team.
Principal Responsibilities include:
- Resilience analysis – leveraging various tools to analyze potential impact vectors and identify and simulate negative scenarios to highlight resilience hot-spots.
- Performance and scalability engineering – track efficiency trends using production statistics and results of automated tests and reconfigure applications to meet scalability demands and adjust resource guarantees.
- Monitoring - design and develop monitoring dashboards and measurement facilities along with KPI thresholds and acceptable outage/error levels in various categories.
- Incident resolution – participate in incident mitigation efforts and their post-mortem analysis.
- Upgrade coordination - monitor component end-of-life and version vulnerability and coordinate upgrades of the platform elements.
- CI/CD tuning – adjust and test environment configurations to ensure throughput, stability, High Availability and Business Continuity.
- Architecture - participate in application architecture reviews with the goal of minimizing instability risks by evaluating requirements, simplifying architecture and ensuring defensive coding.
- Evaluate Java framework and features for Technical roadmap.

Required Qualifications:
- Technical team leadership traits with organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Java Spring.
- Proficiency in error and performance analysis and problem-solving attitude
- Proficiency in Async JMS broker (IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka) and Microservice architecture.
- Experience in creating and tuning Java applications (Spring)
- Experience with container technologies, Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Experience with CD/CI (Git, Jenkins, Maven)
- RDBMS concepts – basic principles of SQL optimization, preferably in Oracle environment
- B. S. Degree in Computer Science or related field experience
- Apache Camel framework a plus
- Good communication skills and working proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
- Advanced Splunk and Grafana skills
- Understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Basic web optimization techniques
