The Senior SAP Engineer is a key contributor within our Digital IT – ERP team, responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions, supporting the stability and evolution of our SAP landscape. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain custom enhancements and interfaces aligned with business requirements.
Working across multiple business areas and technologies, the Senior SAP Engineer handles review of functional specifications, performs detailed design, development activities, technical documentation, and supports system integrations. The role also contributes to incident resolution, working in alignment with ERP Operations processes and tools such as ServiceNow.
In addition to ongoing support and continuous improvement tasks, the Senior SAP Engineer plays a critical role in project delivery—supporting testing phases (unit, integration, UAT), and ensuring that all solutions adhere to internal development standards and quality expectations

Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance custom applications and extensions in S/4HANA and BTP using ABAP, CDS views, CAP, and OData
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Support the development and integration of Fiori/UI5 applications with backend services
- Ensure developments follow SAP clean core principles and extensibility best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to internal coding standards and guidelines
- Conduct unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases
- Assist in incident resolution and provide ongoing support aligned with ERP operations
- Create technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvement within the development team
- 7+ years of experience in SAP development, including work within the S/4HANA environment
- Strong knowledge of modern ABAP, including object-oriented programming, exception handling, and performance optimization
- Proficiency in building and extending CDS views for transactional and analytical use cases with Fiori/OData annotations
- Experience with RAP (Restful ABAP Programming) for Fiori Elements apps and side-by-side extensions
- Hands-on experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming), Node.js/Java, and BTP services
- Familiarity with key business processes such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Finance
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders
- Quality and deadline oriented
- Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level
