Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior Rendering Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of Cyberpunk 2, the next major title in the Cyberpunk franchise. You’ll work with a talented team of engineers and artists to create cutting-edge rendering solutions that support the visual vision of the game. Using Unreal Engine 5, you’ll play a key role in defining how our worlds look and feel — helping us craft immersive experiences that push the boundaries of visual fidelity.
Daily responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve existing rendering systems.
- Design and implement rendering solutions for large-scale technical challenges.
- Collaborate with art teams to deliver efficient and visually compelling results.
- Use your rendering expertise to help shape the look and atmosphere of characters and environments.
- Optimize performance and memory usage across platforms.
Qualifications
- Typically 7+ years of experience in game development or similar technical fields.
- Strong fluency in C++ and deep experience with graphics programming.
- Professional experience with Unreal Engine (shipped titles using UE a plus).
- Deep understanding of rendering techniques and GPU/CPU architecture.
- Solid multithreaded programming background.
- Experience with one or more low-level graphics APIs (DirectX12, Vulkan, console SDKs, etc.).
- Familiarity with graphics debugging tools (RenderDoc, PIX, or console-specific tools).
- Comfort with profiling and low-level optimization.
- Clear and respectful communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Supportive approach to helping teammates streamline workflows and solve challenges.
Nice to have
- Experience shipping at least one Unreal-based project.
Please include a portfolio that showcases your code samples or relevant tools/scripts that demonstrate your problem-solving and development skills.

Working mode
