About the role
We are looking for a positive and highly motivated Senior QA Engineer to help us to move our products to the next level. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be the cornerstone of our quality efforts, taking full ownership of the testing landscape. You will be working closely with our top notch engineers to keep the quality of our digital products at the highest possible level.
What will you do
- Lead and Own Quality: Define, implement, and own the entire QA strategy, from process creation to execution.
- Build a Robust Automation Framework: Design, develop, and maintain a scalable and efficient test automation framework using Cypress. Your work will directly enable faster and more reliable release cycles.
- Drive a "Shift-Left" Culture: Actively participate in product refinement and design sessions, providing crucial feedback on testability, potential risks, and user experience before a single line of code is written.
- Master the System: Become a deep subject matter expert on our products. You will leverage your testing experience to gain an unparalleled understanding of system architecture, business logic, and user flows.
- Integrate and Innovate: Seamlessly integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines and continuously seek opportunities to improve our development lifecycle.
- Mentor and Guide: Champion a "quality-first" mindset across the tech team. You will empower the entire team to take responsibility for quality.
- Plan and Document: Create comprehensive test plans, clear test cases, and maintain thorough documentation to ensure repeatability and clarity in our testing efforts.
Who you are
- An Experienced QA Engineer: You have 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance for web applications, with a proven track record of leading QA initiatives and taking ownership of the testing process.
- An Automation Expert: You possess deep, hands-on expertise in developing test automation frameworks, especially with Cypress. You write clean, maintainable, and reliable test code.
- Technically Proficient: You are capable of managing your technical tasks within a modern development ecosystem.
- A Proactive Collaborator: You excel at building strong, effective partnerships with product managers and developers. You leverage exceptional communication skills to not only report bugs with clarity and precision, but also to articulate their business and user impact, ensuring critical issues are prioritized and driven to resolution.
- A Forward-Looking Professional: You are tech-savvy and curious. You actively explore new tools and methods, and you're excited about the potential of using AI to enhance and accelerate your testing tasks.
